Regional Science & Technology Fair
Sponsorship of this regional Secondary Schools Science & Technology Fair is ATS' contribution to investing in the future - that of encouraging young people to 'think and do'. The prize we sponsored was in the category of 'Innovation with the Most Commercial Potential'. This year's winner has designed a chopping board that is also a rod-holder for people beach fishing.

ATS donates bicycle to Regional Council
ATS has donated a bicycle to the Head Office of Environment Bay of Plenty so staff can use it for errands and business around Whakatane. The regional council has matched the donation by buying a second bike.
ATS believes that companies are an integral part of communities and organisations like Environment Bay of Plenty are important leaders. It is also hoped that other businesses will embrace the concept and along with public service organisations lead by example in this age of growing environmental concerns.
Wunder-Covers New Design
Advanced Traffic Supplies are pleased to announce the launch of the latest design upgrade for Wunder-Covers. The new design is both stronger, more attractive, and brings the added feature of the lid concealing the upper edge of the frame. This feature prevents the entry of unwanted debris, and the escape of gases.
ATS Consulting - Tradition Combines with Technology
The Ngakahi Charitable Trust is now able to produce its traditional harakeke piupiu (flax skirts) to a consistently higher standard, thanks to the design and development skills of ATS Consulting, who took up the challenge to design a processing unit that would improve production, while taking into account the hands-on aspect of the age-old tradition. ATS produced a prototype unit that uses high-pressure water to create the various patterns in the blades of flax. The stainless steel 'work station' is easily operated by one person, who can accurately remove the pulp from the fibre from large quantities of flax. The new system keeps the damage of the fibres to a minimum and improves the overall quality of the finished product.
